Hands-on Agave Theming Workshop
A half-day, practical session on taking the Agave theme and making it entirely your own — from colour tokens to custom content templates.
About this workshop
Agave was built to be customised — and this workshop walks you through exactly how. Over three and a half hours we'll move from a fresh install to a fully re-skinned site, working in small groups with a mentor on hand throughout.
You'll leave with a theme that looks nothing like the default, and the confidence to keep shaping it after you go home.
What we'll cover
- The token system — re-colouring the whole theme by editing a handful of CSS variables
- Swapping the typeface and adjusting the type scale
- Customising the header and footer for your organisation
- Building a new content-type template from the existing ones
Who it's for
Front-end developers, designers and site builders who are comfortable with HTML and CSS. No prior Plone theming experience is required, but a working Plone install on your laptop is essential.
Bring with you
A laptop with a recent Plone running locally, and a code editor you're comfortable in. We'll share a setup guide by email a week before the session.
